Who we are
This website is operated by Ninth Design, a software and website development company based in Guam, USA. This policy explains what information this website collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website only; systems we build and operate for clients have their own privacy practices.
What we collect
The contact form. When you send us an inquiry we receive what you type — your name, email address, and message — along with the page or plan the inquiry refers to and your IP address, which we record to protect the form against abuse.
Server and security logs. Like nearly every website, our servers keep standard technical logs: IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We use them to keep the website secure and running, and for nothing else.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the website — which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, and how they found us. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes usage data on our behalf under Google's privacy policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser.
Cookies
This website sets a small number of cookies. Essential cookies come first: a session cookie and a security (CSRF) token that Laravel, the framework the website runs on, needs to serve pages and protect the contact form — they identify your visit, not you, and expire quickly. Cloudflare may set its own security cookies to distinguish people from automated traffic. The only non-essential cookies are Google Analytics’, described above, and you can block or clear any of these in your browser — the website works fine without them.
Services that help us run the website
A small number of providers process data so this website can operate: Cloudflare sits in front of the website for security and performance and screens the contact form for automated abuse, and Mailgun delivers contact-form messages to our inbox. Each processes only what is needed for its role.
How we use your information
We use contact-form submissions to respond to you — that is the whole purpose. We use logs and security data to protect the website, and analytics to improve it.
What we do not do
We do not sell your information. We do not share your email address. We do not send marketing email — when you write to us, you will hear back from a person about your inquiry, and that is all.
Retention
Contact inquiries are kept for as long as they are useful for corresponding with you and keeping a record of our business relationship. Technical and security logs are kept for a limited period and then discarded in the normal course of operations.
Your choices and rights
You can browse this website without submitting any personal information. If you would like us to correct or delete information you have sent us through the contact form, write to us and we will take care of it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law, and we will honor applicable requests.
Children
This website is a business site and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we will update this page and its "last updated" date.
